Principal Investigator

Melissa Reeves, Ph.D. Melissa Reeves is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Utah and at the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

She completed her PhD with Allan Balmain at UCSF, where she studied tumor heterogeneity and evolution. Dr. Reeves was subsequently awarded the prestigious UCSF Sandler Fellowship to start her own independent lab in 2017, and she moved to the University of Utah in 2022. Her lab studies tumor heterogeneity and its impact on the immune response to cancer as well as clonal evolution of tumors following immunotherapy.
